In April and May 2010 we introduced the case for a need to establish a Trust Fund exclusively to help send deceased members to The Gambia for burial as this is a highly entrenched norm in the Senegambian Culture. We asked individuals to give opinions during the general meetings held in the latter months of 2010 and subsequent months that followed, on the initiative. On September 30th 2012, the executive board brought forward a motion for £1000 be set aside to start the Trust Fund.

This followed the heels of a successful fundraising musical show with Jaliba Kuyateh and the Kumareh Band in London, June 2012. The Secretariat would like to engage you again ( non members inclusive) in setting out a detail policy document for the Trust Fund. We would like to hear your comments and opinions on matters such as how much should members contribute; potential benefactors and other funding options for the Trust Fund.
